Multi-party signing

Two signers, one onboarding flow

A flow can hand part of the same run to a second person by email, a second director, a guarantor, a co-tenant, or your own firm counter-signing. The second party needs no account. They open a link and complete only their own steps, while the run waits and resumes on its own once they finish.

  • Hand off part of the same run to a second person by email
  • No account needed, each party sees only their own data
  • The run resumes on its own once the second party is done

How does a second person join the same onboarding run

An action email in the flow names the recipient as a new party. When the applicant reaches that point, the second person, a director, a guarantor, a co-tenant, or someone from your own firm counter-signing, gets an email with a link into the same run. They need no Braigest account. They open the link and see only the steps that belong to them.

Can the second party see what the first party entered

No. Each party sees only their own data. The isolation is structural, not a setting an author can forget to turn on: a party can read and act on the steps addressed to them and nothing belonging to the other party, in either direction.

What happens while the run is waiting on the second party

The run pauses on the applicant side once the hand-off email goes out, and moves on by itself the moment the second party finishes their steps. Nobody has to check in or manually push the case forward. If the flow needs the run back with the original applicant afterwards, that is simply another hand-off email pointed back at them.

How does signing work with two people on the same document pack

Each signer gets their own block on the evidence page, recording their own consent and identity method, and the document pack is sealed once, when the run completes, rather than being resealed after each person signs.

Does the second party get anything once the run is finished

Yes. Once the whole run completes, the second party receives a read-only copy with a link back to the finished case and its documents, so they have a record of what they took part in without any further access to the run.

Frequently asked questions

Does the second signer need a Braigest account?

No. They receive a link by email and complete their own steps directly in the widget, the same way the first applicant does, with no account to create.

Can the two parties see each other's answers?

No. Each party sees only the data on the steps addressed to them. The isolation applies both ways and is not something an author configures separately.

Does someone have to manually move the case along once the second party is invited?

No. The run waits automatically and resumes on its own as soon as the second party completes their steps, with no manual push needed from your team.

How is the document sealed if two people sign it?

Each signer has their own block on the evidence page, and the whole document pack is sealed once, when the run finishes, rather than resealed after each signature.

Which plans include multi-party signing?

It is included on every plan, from Solo through Firm, with no separate add-on to buy for a second signer.
