Integrations for client onboarding: webhooks, tasks and a REST API

Braigest workflows can hand off collected data without a human moving it by hand. An outgoing webhook posts an applicant's answers, and any generated PDFs, to a connection your administrator saved. A Run External Task step hands a job to your own automation tool and waits for it to answer. A REST API is there when you would rather read a run's data yourself.

How do I send onboarding data to another system?

An outgoing webhook step sends the run's collected data, and optionally the PDFs a document or dossier step produced, to a destination an administrator saved beforehand: a base URL plus a credential, either an API key or OAuth client credentials, with the method, path and payload shape defined as an operation on that connection. The applicant sees nothing while this runs; the step fires, the response is written back into the run, and the workflow moves on by itself.

Can a workflow wait for my own tool to finish a job?

A Run External Task step hands a job to your own automation tool, Make, Zapier, n8n, or an AI agent runner you built, and parks the run with a message the author wrote for the applicant to see while it waits. If the tool never answers, a deadline you set advances the run anyway, so nobody's application is left waiting forever on a system outside Braigest.

Does Braigest have pre-built connectors for my CRM or ERP?

No. There is no marketplace of pre-built connectors to browse and toggle on. Instead, you define the call yourself: an outgoing webhook or a REST request, aimed at the connection you already set up, carrying the fields you choose to map onto its payload. Delivery by webhook, REST or email covers the same ground without tying you to a fixed list of supported systems.

Is there a REST API to read submission data?

Yes. A REST API lets you read a run's data directly, which is useful when you would rather pull information into your own systems on your own schedule than wait for a webhook push, or when you need to look something up for a single case rather than every run.

When does delivery happen if a case needs a staff review?

Delivery to an external system waits until any review decision on the case is final. That keeps a partial finding, or one a reviewer later overturns, from ever reaching your CRM, ERP or case system ahead of the human decision that is meant to come first, so downstream systems only ever see the settled outcome.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a developer to connect Braigest to another system?

An administrator saves the connection once: a base URL and a credential, either an API key or OAuth client credentials. From there, an author picks the operation on the webhook step itself, without writing code for each workflow.

What automation tools work with the Run External Task step?

Any tool that can receive a job and post a result back over HTTP: Make, Zapier, n8n, or an AI agent runner you have built yourself. Braigest waits for the answer and continues the run once it arrives.

What happens if my automation tool never responds?

A deadline you set on the External Task step advances the run automatically once it passes, so an unanswered job never leaves an applicant's case stuck waiting on the outside system forever.

Can I get the signed PDF sent to my own system automatically?

Yes. An outgoing webhook can attach the PDFs a document or dossier step produced, so your system receives the sealed file alongside the rest of the run's data in the same call.

Does Braigest offer ready-made connectors for popular CRMs?

No. There is no marketplace of pre-built connectors. You define the call yourself through an outgoing webhook, a REST request, or email, aimed at whatever system you already use.
